Boys

My life is surrounded with boys. Even the dog is a boy. I like boys, But sometimes I don't understand them. Take today for instance. J and N were out back playing with the neighbor boy. I glanced out the window just in time to see Noah casting a fishing pole and hooking the dog. Hmm, who thought this would be a good idea? I go out to stop the madness when I see the other boys with their fishing pole. They didn't hook the dog, but they did hook the trampoline net where they are now hanging from the fishing pole trying to get it to rip off. I freed the dog (and the trampoline), gave a lecture, let them all know that I meant business and went back inside. All was peaceful - until they all came running inside a few minutes later. All i could see was blood and all I could hear was "noah did a cartwheel and knocked L's tooth out!". It looks like disaster, but as I look closer I notice they are all smiling. L had blood everywhere, but was grinning and saying "Noah kicked my tooth out!". What, cause that's the greatest thing ever? Umm, I don't get it. See, I don't understand boys. They're crazy. But I love them.

That is really funny Stace, and I have to say I always imagined you surrounded by boys ;) just kidding! Aren't they so different though?! Cody gets just crazy sometimes, but you gotta love them, and I checked with my boys and yes kicking out a tooth is REALLY awesome! :)

ohhh Stacy, you're scaring me!! 20 months apart AND I'm getting getting older by the minute... how am I gonna chase these 2 hooligans around my 50 acres in a few years! I pray almost everyday for their safety in the years to come! BUT- boy, do I love my boys!! Wish they could all meet each other. Not sure if I've even met yours... :(

Stacy, I know just what you mean! I have a feeling my house is a lot like yours. :) Some days I am so ready to pull my hair out! But they are tons of fun, and somehow we will survive the chaos. Hopefully! :)

I only have two. (that would be James and Aidan) and it the same way. They always wrestle, Aidan always ends up crying. I come out and tell them to knock it off, and they start right back up b/c they love it. I don't get it. I try to avoid pain!

I love hearing your stories! Ahhh, life with boys! I laughed when you said even your dog is a boy! I always say, "even our turtle is a boy!" Lot's of craziness and wild adventures, but I know we wouldn't trade it for anything!

I have a feeling "the cousins" will all be dangerous given a few more years. Maybe it's safer that we live 2,ooo miles apart.
