Alright, since it is in such high demand I am posting the video of the boys playing. Hopefully I can figure out how to get it on here! Please ignore the messy house in the backround (I can't always predict when they will be cute so I didn't have time to clean!), and also ignore the fact that the lens wasn't all the way open and I didn't notice so two corners are cut off. Hey, I'm not a professional here, Okay?! :)

Agghh!!!

So I have plunged into the task of potty training Noah and I am frustrated!!! Jacob was so easy to potty-train since he thrives on praise and with a little encouragement was well on his way. Noah marches to the beat of his own drum and I am not sure how to motivate him. We give him all sorts of praise when he does it along with a handful of M&M's, but I am not sure that he really cares. Mostly I am posting this so that you all know that I am doing this so I will carry on - there's nothing like having some accountability. :) If anyone has any suggestions I would be happy to hear them. I will keep you posted on our progress! I currently hear jacob encouraging him to go so they can get some more M&M's! Maybe that will help.....

Why Desert Turtles?

Well, we pondered what to name our blog for a long time because everything we came up with sounded too cheesy. So, today we were at our favorite park in Palm Springs looking at the ducks, birds, fish and turtles. Jacob has been learning the difference between a turtle and a tortoise, and sometimes gets confused. Since tortoises' live on land he decided we can call them "desert turtles" (since there is NO water in the desert!) and so there it is! So simple - it just is what it is. Desert turtles... :)
